
Our founders

Mathilda Mallinson is an award-winning presenter and journalist with investigations, news and features published across The Guardian, Telegraph, Independent, New Statesman, Evening Standard and more, with broadcasts appearing on Channel 4 News, BBC Women’s Hour, and Times Radio. She specialises in immigration and human rights, having previously worked as a humanitarian worker in Northern Europe and South Africa. Alongside her journalism, she has produced video campaigns for Amnesty International and Choose Love, and co-founded Refugee Media Centre to improve refugee representation in the press.

Helena Wadia is a multimedia journalist and award-winning presenter working across print, video and audio. Outside of Media Storm, she is a news anchor on London Live’s News at Six. Her first love was music journalism and she regularly presents NME magazine’s ‘In Conversation’ series. She has worked for the Evening Standard, Channel 5 News, BBC Asian Network, The Independent, The Line of Best Fit, and more, specialising in feminism, race issues, and social justice. She has appeared on the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire show, BBC London, BBC Newscast, Times Radio, Channel 4’s Inspiring Women panel, in the Huffington Post and more.
